Topham Publishing was created as a publishing brand to coincide with the launch on the Amazon Kindle platform of the first published novel by Peter Rowlands, Alternative Outcome.
It is now the official publisher of all Peter Rowlands’ novels, which include Alternative Outcome, Deficit of Diligence, Denial of Credit, The Concrete Ceiling, Now or Not at All and Not Exactly True. They are available in printed paperback form or as e-books exclusively from Amazon (all regions).
A new name, Anders Teller, joined our fold with a first book packed with many of the same elements that characterise Rowlands’ work – fast pace, intricate plot and vivid characters. It has since been revealed that Anders Teller is in fact a pen-name of Peter Rowlands.
Topham Publishing will also also take responsibility over time for other books, including a hidden gem called That Unacknowledged Breed. See Other titles page for more information.
Topham Publishing takes its name from Peter Rowlands’ first novel, Alternative Outcome. One of the themes is self-publishing, but the leading character, Mike Stanhope, would prefer to get his own book into print, and has already put it in front of a lot of literary agents: so far without having any luck.
At one point in the plot, we are introduced to a “real” print publisher called Hunt Topham. It’s a fictitous company, of course, but this was too good a cue to ignore, so the actual publisher of Alternative Outcome – the book about Mike that you can actually buy – became Topham Publishing.
